OTTAWA TFCSOCCER CLUB
Grassroots programs represent the introductory stages of soccer at Ottawa TFC.
Players from the ages of 4 to 8 learn not only to play the game, but to love it! They participate in individual exercises developing their technical skills, team games that help build positive mental/social traits, and most importantly, small-sided matchplay where trial and error is the name of the game.
Coaches are usually Academy players who once graduated through these programs themselves, and are overseen by our experienced senior staff. Their leadership skills are crucial to fostering a healthy learning environment for your child!

Staff Coach: Kaden Engbers
Kaden serves as Ottawa TFC's Associate Technical Director. Having grown up playing his entire youth career with OTFC's predecessor Cumberland Cobras, he is now involved in multiple areas of the club and has led our Grassroots Program since 2018. Kaden holds a National Children's Diploma, the highest available Canada Soccer license for programs of this age group, and serves as a captain for our Men's First Team.
