I want to join a Competitive, Academy or Adult Competitive team with Ottawa TFC. How can I get evaluated by an Ottawa TFC Staff Coach?
 

The evaluation fee is NOT for beginners. Do not register for this fee if you are new or wanting to try this sport.

 

CURRENT OTTAWA TFC PLAYERS

• If you were a Competitive or Academy player during the 2023-2024 Fall/Winter season, you do NOT need an evaluation. This does not mean you are guaranteed a spot in your current team or in a higher team, but our coaching staff does not need additional time to evaluate you, since are already playing/training with us regularly. 

NEW PLAYER TO OTTAWA TFC (or those coming back from taking a break)

• You are considered a new player if:
  • You have never played at Ottawa TFC;
  • You did not play with Ottawa TFC during the 2023-2024 Fall/Winter Season;
  • You played in a Grassroots (U8) or an Open League program during the 2023-2024 Fall/Winter Season, and you wish to move up to the competitive/academy pathway.
     

NOTE: If you simply wish to play at the recreational level (Grassroots, 'Open League') or adult recreational programs, you DO NOT need an evaluation. You can register directly on the registration portal.

MUST DO THE FOLLOWING

• Create an account, add a player profile in our PowerUp registration portal, if necessary;
• Register for the following SKUs:
  1. 2024 Competitive Evaluation Fee (non refundable): $60.00
  2. BASE COMPETITIVE Fee:
     • U9-U12: $255.00
     • U13-U18: $275.00

ONCE REGISTERED

• An invitation will be sent by a staff coach inviting you to join the most appropriate current training/evaluation session - they have 48h-72h to send you an invitation; 
• All players are invited to (and expected to attend) at least 2 training sessions;
• Before the start of the season, all players (and parents) will be contacted with an official invitation letter to join a competitive or academy team, or alternately, a release letter to our open/recreational programs.

Les frais d'évaluation ne sont PAS destinés aux débutants. Ne vous inscrivez pas à ces frais si vous êtes nouveau ou si vous souhaitez essayer ce sport.

JOUEURS ACTUELS DU CLUB D'OTTAWA TFC

• Si vous étiez un joueur compétitif/académie pendant la saison d'autome/hiver 2023, vous n'avez PAS besoin d'une évaluation.

NOUVEAU JOUEUR AU CLUB D'OTTAWA TFC (ou vous avez pris une pause)

Vous êtes considéré comme un NOUVEAU JOUEUR si vous remplissez un de ces points: 

• Vous n'avez jamais joué avec Ottawa TFC;
• Vous n'avez pas joué avec Ottawa TFC lors de la saison d'autome/hiver 2023;
• Vous avez joué dans un programme Grassroots (U8) ou 'Open League' (ligue maison) pendant la saison d'autome/hiver 2023, et vous souhaitez passer à la voie compétitive.

NOTE : Si vous souhaitez simplement jouer au niveau récréatif (Grassroots, 'Open League' (ligue maison)) ou aux programmes récréatifs pour adultes, vous N'AVEZ PAS besoin d'une évaluation. Vous pouvez vous inscrire directement sur le portail d'inscription.

Après avoir déterminé si le joueur est considéré comme un nouveau joueur ci-dessus, le joueur doit suivre les étapes suivantes :

• Créez un compte, ajoutez un profil de joueur dans notre portail d'inscription PowerUp, si nécessaire;
• Inscrivez-vous pour les frais d'évaluation compétitifs 2024 (60$ - non remboursable) pour chaque joueur;
• Joueurs U9-U18 doivent aussi s'inscrire pour les frais de compétition de base:
  • U9-U12: 255.00$
  • U13-U18: 275.00$

Une fois inscrit aux frais d'évaluation compétitifs :

• Une invitation sera envoyée par un entraineur vous invitant à rejoindre la session d'évaluation en cours la plus appropriée; ils ont de 48h à 72h pour vous envoyer une invitation; 
• Tous les joueurs sont invités (et censés y assister) à au moins 2 sessions d'entraînement ;
• Une fois les sessions d'évaluation terminées, tous les joueurs (et les parents) seront contactés avec une lettre d'invitation officielle pour rejoindre une équipe compétitive/académie, ou alternativement, une lettre de libération pour nos programmes récréatifs.
