U5-U8 Skills Centre (Players born in 2017-2014)

Grassroots

To participate in the Grassroots Skills Centre program, players must be registered in a Grassroot program.

What is a Skills Centre?

The U5-U8 Skills Centre program is the starting point of the player's development. Grassroots U5-U8 players (boys and girls) have the option of joining the Skills Centre program which includes technical development and games run by club coaches and our top technical assistants. Players are grouped on the actual day by size and ability.

At Ottawa TFC, we place an enormous emphasis on teaching and inspiring the youngest players of the club. Because the club is recognized as a National level club by Canada Soccer, Ottawa TFC takes pride in developing homegrown players into top athletes. In recent years this philosophy has helped us build one of the most respected clubs in the province and country. Game play is included in the program of course, and basic playing concepts are introduced, but the emphasis is on technical soccer skills and physical literacy (overall athleticism).
