UNIFORM POLICY

  1. Purpose
  • The Cumberland United-Unis Soccer Club (CUSC) prides itself with being recognized as one of the most professionally operated and managed soccer clubs in Eastern Ontario (Canada).  The CUSC uniform plays an integral part in our identity and our sense of pride in the organization.
  • In order to preserve and protect this recognition, all teams, whether recreational or competitive, shall follow the uniform policy for practices, games, festivals, and tournaments ensuring that all teams are readily identified as representing the Cumberland United-Unis Soccer Club.  All CUSC uniforms are identified by the colours and the Cumberland United, Cumberland Cobras, or Cumberland Cobras Academy crests.
  1. Uniform Requirements for the Developmental Program U5-U8
  • The CUSC approved uniform is included with the player’s registration fee and consists of one shirt in various colours by team, one pair of black shorts, and one pair of black socks.  This uniform must be worn at all games and practices.
  • Uniforms in these age groups are ordered in team sets in pre-determined sizes. The coach will make every effort to match the player with the right size uniform since excess stock of spare uniforms is limited.
  • The CUSC approved uniform for the Junior Academy U8 players is included with the player’s registration fee and consists of two yellow Academy training shirts, one pair of black shorts, and one pair of black socks.  This uniform must be worn at all games and practices.
  1. Uniform Requirements for the Recreational Program U9-U18
  • Recreational teams must wear the CUSC approved Blue (Home) and White (Away) Jerseys, Blue shorts, and Blue socks at all games and festivals.
  • The CUSC uniform, which is not included in the registration fee (except for U9s), can be purchased at the CUSC Clubhouse.  Registration for U9 players includes a mandatory uniform fee.  If a U9 recreational player is accepted to the competitive program, a credit of the uniform fee will be applied to the player’s account.
  • The jerseys are not numbered in the Recreational League.  If a number is requested by a player, the selection must range from 2 to 99 with the number 1 reserved for keeper jerseys.  All numbers will be applied at the Clubhouse Store at no charge.
  • Uniform pieces cannot be returned to the Clubhouse for a refund or exchange if they have been worn.  In addition, a jersey cannot be returned for exchange or refunded once a number has been applied.
  1. Uniform Requirements for the Competitive Program U9-U18
  • Team Officials (ie: Coaches, Assistant Coaches, or Team Managers) of the competitive teams are permitted to select a primary and secondary colour (Blue and/or White) of the approved Adidas uniform from the CUSC Uniform Supplier.
  • The CUSC approved uniform consists of Blue and White Adidas Jersey, Blue and/or White Adidas shorts, and Blue and/or White Adidas socks.  The approved uniform must be worn at all games, tournaments, or festivals.  For practices, competitive teams must wear the approved training shirt at all times along with the primary (or secondary, if applicable) shorts and socks as determined by the Team Officials.
  • All Academy keepers will be required to wear the official Adidas keeper kit as prescribed by the Goalkeeper Coach and approved by CUSC.
  • The cost of the uniform is not included with the player’s registration fee.  Purchases must be done directly with the CUSC Uniform Supplier or coordinated with the Team Officials.
  • Competition play requires that each player be identified with a distinct number for statistical and disciplinary purposes. Identical numbers on the same team is not permitted.  The assignment of the jersey numbers is at the discretion of the Team Officials. The CUSC Uniform Supplier is responsible for applying the numbers to all jerseys.
  • The manufacturer, model, style, and supplier of the uniforms are determined by the CUSC Board of Directors and are subject to change based on contracts.  Where there is a transition to a different supplier, the CUSC Board of Directors will determine whether competitive teams will have the option to stay with the uniform originally supplied.
  • The competitive Team Officials will be required to complete their uniform order as per the process prescribed by the CUSC Uniform Supplier. No exceptions will be made to this process.
  • All issues relating to the uniforms for the competitive teams must be dealt directly with the CUSC Uniform Supplier by the Team Officials.
